Week in Review

This last week we had a very quick and short week.  Office Davenport stopped by to introduce the students to the DARE program.  The students really seem to enjoy having him there.  All students need to make sure they get their forms turned in so they can continue to participate in the DARE program.

We elected our first ACE (Anderson Character Education) for the month of September, character word RESPECT, that person is, Jeobany Marcos!

We are going to be changing our reading groups again next week.  We hope that this will be the last change in the reading groups for a while.

In math we are going to start multiplying.  So if your student does not know their multiplication facts please try to take the time to practice them with them.  There is a math game I really like, you can play the card game war, but instead of the person with the highest card getting the cards, the person who can multiply the numbers first gets the cards.

Also in Social Studies we are going to be making a Unity Quilt, I would like all the students to be thinking about how they would like our world to be a better place.  They will be writing a poem, short story, song, etc...

We will be having an assembly Tuesday morning at 8:30 to honor those lost and the heros of 9/11.

We will also be having our Character Ed assembly at 2 on Friday afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great week!
