Busy week

We are going to have a busy week this week with it being Reading Week.

Monday- Assembly 8:30 to kick off reading week.
Family Night 5:30 the fifth and sixth grade will be singing!!!!!!
Book Fair will be going on all week.

Tuesday Mr. Henry will be coming in during Social Studies time to do a formal observation.  We will be talking about the Three Branches of Government this week in Social Studies.  Then we will move onto the Ancient Native American civilizations next week and we will be starting another group project.

Friday there will be a Character Ed. Assembly at 1:30.  Your students will be getting their MAP certificates from the taking the MAP test last year.

Also Friday is the deadline for reciting your Preamble.  I have had about 10 students do this, that leaves about 12 that have not.  If they do not at least attempt to do the preamble I will have to give them a zero on this assignment.  So please encourage your students to practice the preamble and at least try.  I start with a hundred and take off one percentage for small words missed and two percentage points for each big word.  If they can get most of the preamble then they should get a decent grade.  All the students so far have gotten between a 98% and a 100%.  I know everyone can do this!!!!!

Students also need to get their book read for their book talk.  It is going to creep up on them faster than they think!!!!

If your student is in my math class we will be taking a test on Topic 4 on Thursday.  Topic 4 is over division and factors.

I sent home the Parent/Teacher Conference sign ups, and for those that have come back I have also sent home a confirmation.  I still have about ten sign ups that have not come back.  If you never received one, please email me and I will send home another copy with your student's agenda.

Remember next week is the Watershed on Wednesday, we will be going to the shed out back of the high school and it is getting chilly so they need to wear jeans and bring a jacket.
